Few months ago, I posted here some thoughts and photographs about France, my own country, seen with the eyes of the one living abroad (see here). This second episode bring us in the coastal areas of Atlantic and Corsica.
It was a Sunday morning when I met Mr. Chen. The day started in a freezing breeze at 6:00, I had first an appointment with another fellow photographer through some infamous connections. The light was as soft as a winter sunrise. We walked around, found some very interesting spot and did few encounters. Weekend mornings are always an interesting time to be awaken and out of the bed, people looks different ! It is certainly with getting up.
I shoot photography in the streets and It has been like that since I own a camera; but I have never done street photography, I mean the real street photography. This post is the story of a first attempt…
For the one living abroad, the first time back home brings a lot of warm feelings and excitement about all the things we all miss from our own country.
But after few years, while back, some other sensations spice the days spent home. I would like to call this the “so far so close” effect. I must admit that one of my favorite pleasure is now to have the chance to look at my old country and fellow citizens with the eyes and the distance of a tourist, like a foreigner would.
